How They’re Made
From formulation to final bagging, every Baitlicious bait is built for consistent action, durability, and confidence on the water.
Performance-First, Every Step
Baitlicious isn’t about gimmicks. Our process is focused on what anglers actually feel: action, consistency, and how well a bait holds up through real fishing. Below is a straightforward look at how we build baits that fish clean and get bit.
1) Plastisol Formulation
Everything starts with the plastic itself. We focus on a formulation that balances:
- Action (flex where it matters)
- Durability (hook holds and high-stress areas)
- Consistency (repeatable pours and reliable results)
The goal is simple: baits that feel right in the hand and perform right in the water.
2) Color & Additives
Color isn’t just about looks—it’s about confidence and conditions. We develop color options that perform in:
- Clear water
- Stained water
- Heavy cover and shadow lines
- High pressure / finicky bites
Glitter and additives are used intentionally—never just for flash. Every mix is built to fish.
3) Precision Pouring
Pour quality matters. Consistent heat control, clean molds, and repeatable timing all affect:
- Tail action
- Body shape and balance
- Strength in thin areas
- Overall consistency from bait to bait
The objective is to produce baits that fish the same way every time you tie one on.
4) Cure, Finish & QC
Once poured, baits are allowed to set and stabilize properly. We pay attention to the details anglers actually notice:
- Clean edges and consistent profiles
- Balanced tails and appendages
- Hook-holding areas that resist tearing
We also remove any baits that don’t meet our standards—because consistency is part of the brand.
5) Salt-Bagged Protection
We bag many of our baits in salt as a protective storage method. This helps reduce issues that can happen in storage over time.
- Helps protect baits in the pack
- Reduces sticking and deformation risks
- Salt rinses off with the first cast
Bottom line: baits that are ready when you are.
